We are Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), an International Honors Society for two-year colleges. PTK stands for Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Fellowship, and our Beta Kappa Iota chapter is committed to creating meaningful impact in our community.

This year, we launched K.I.N.D. (Kids’ Individual Needs & Development), which is a student-led initiative focused on supporting children with disabilities and their families. Through this project, we are partnering with Parent-to-Parent of Miami and Act4Me, two local nonprofits that provide vital resources, advocacy, and therapy funding for children with developmental, neurological, and physical disabilities.

• Parent-to-Parent of Miami empowers families by connecting them with trained Parent Champions who guide them through raising a child with special needs.

• Act4Me provides financial grants to low-income families in Miami-Dade so children can receive essential therapies and specialized equipment that insurance often does not cover.

We are raising funds by selling cakes to help:

• Support therapy grants for children in need

• Strengthen advocacy and family support programs

• Assist small, under-resourced foundations that are making a direct impact in our community

Every cake purchased is more than a sweet treat; it is a contribution toward inclusion, accessibility, and opportunity for children who deserve every chance to thrive.
